Breto sits in a wide, sun-soaked field, framed by old trees and open skies. From the doorstep, you can gaze across the rolling hills of La Garrotxa Natural Park, with the Pyrenees wrapping around the postcard-perfect town of Camprodon just beyond.

A short drive takes you to Beget and Rocabruna—tiny stone villages where every cobbled street feels like it’s carrying a thousand untold stories. And out here, it’s not just you. Birds, deer, and foxes still roam freely—a reminder that Breto belongs to the wild as much as it does to you.

Inside, you have everything you need for a few days offline. There are two showers to choose from—one indoors, and one outdoors under the stars. Inside, a crackling log burner keeps things cosy, while shelves of books, old board games, and even an instant camera are there to help you unplug, slow down, and switch off from the chaos of screens and city life.

Dogs are welcome too, though the cabin isn’t fenced in. With wild neighbours wandering past, we just ask that pups stay on a lead.

Please note that Breto is about 150m from the parking spot and the walk to the cabin has an incline. We highly recommend bringing backpacks, not wheeled suitcases!

Area highlights

Our fave things to do in Camprodon

Snow Days at Vallter

Vallter 2000 is a high-mountain ski area set in a stunning alpine bowl,  known as much for its views as for its snow. It offers a mix of downhill skiing, snowboarding, sledging, and gentle beginner areas, making it just as enjoyable for first-timers as it is for more confident skiers.

Incredible hiking trails

The GR11 is the star of all the trails in the southern Pyrenees. It is a route of outstanding beauty and landscape diversity that crosses the Pyrenees from the Mediterranean Sea to the Cantábrico Sea.

Visit Camprodon

Camprodon is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful towns in Catalonia. The avenues, shops, squares, walkways, and the Pyrenean surroundings in general make Camprodon a must-visit.

Castell de Rocabruna

The castle dominates a hill surrounded by cliffs, the Tossal del Castillo, and its altitude (995 m) offers visitors very interesting views over the Pyrenees and the Alta Garrocha. Its origins date back to the 10th century.

FAQs

Find the answer to our most frequently wondered things. Read all FAQs here.

You can travel to Breto via car or public transport (train and short taxi ride).

After booking your chosen cabin, you’ll receive an online ‘Welcome Guide’ detailing the exact location of the cabin and directions by car or train and taxi. If you’re travelling by train, we highly recommend booking your connecting taxi in advance, as rural locations don’t tend to have Uber!

The cabin is your space to relax in any way you like to. We recommend getting your hiking boots on and exploring the local area. Our hosts have lived in the area their whole lives, so have created a detailed welcome guide with recommendations of hikes, waterfalls, restaurants and other hidden spots nearby.

For days or evenings in the cabin, we’ve kitted it out with lots of phone-free activities, including:

📚 A selection of our fave books
👾 Board games
📻 Radio Cassette Player + Tapes
📸 Instant Camera + 10 free films
🗺 Map and compass
🔥 Fire pit

Check-in is at 3pm
Check-out is at 10am

We don't currently offer food packages but we're working on it!

All cabins have a well-equipped kitchen including a mini-fridge and gas hob to cook up your fave meals. We include pots, pans, cooking utensils and even chef knives. Plus, loose leaf tea, coffee beans, oil, salt and pepper.

If you’re looking for a night or two away from the stove, there’s restaurants and eateries nearby, as listed in your welcome guide.

Yes! All our cabins have hot showers and an eco-composting toilet in an indoor bathroom. We provide eco-friendly toiletries and luxury towels, too!

Breto is on private land and is lockable from the inside and outside, but it is very remote so it would be a true off-grid experience.

We include enough firewood for your first night. You can add full log store access to your booking for €20 on checkout, which includes firewood, kindling and firelighters.

No, the digital detox is entirely self-policed. However, we do massively recommend you unplug for the full duration of your stay to get feel entirely disconnected from your normal day to day. Our lockboxes have a padlock and key, with the key in a sealed envelope, so if you want to unlock it, you can.

We provide you with a Nokia so you can reach our cabin support team and contact friends and family if you need to. The number for the Nokia will be shared with you in advance of your stay.

All our stays are 3 or 4 nights as this is the minimum time it takes to fully switch off and reap the benefits of nature and time offline. You can read more about 'The 3 Day Effect' here.

We know plans can change, so we’ll always do what we can to accommodate booking amendments. If your check-in date is over 28 days away, your stay can be rebooked for a new date or you can request a voucher, or a full refund. If your check-in date is within 14-28 days, you can move your stay to a future date, or request a voucher equal to the payment you have made. Cancellations or amendments are unfortunately not possible if your check-in date is in or within 14 days. All bookings have a 48 hour cooling off period, so if you change your mind you can reschedule your stay or get a full refund. Rescheduled stays are non-refundable.
